How To Fix Healthcare, Education, and Legal Fees In America…
I made a post on social media about how to fix education critizeing the accreditation standards and replied to one of my critics with this statement.
This exactly what I am speaking out against is the accreditation standards, I personally feel that they should be abolished. And in most cases when a school gets accreditation it is because they have a lot of money and not the best quality of education. And then there is common core for the K-12 students which is a disaster and needs to be repealed. If this country wants to excel in education, we need to push for more school choice to create more competition in the marketplace and this would also help keep tuition costs down. And focus more on the individual and not have a one size fits all solution for education. Kids learn differently and go on to different things in life. We should not be holding back kids because they struggle in one area and excel in another area. Also another issue I noticed is that we have a shortage of lawyers and doctors in this country and this is due to failing education standards. No wonder why legal fees are so expensive and healthcare costs are so expensive. Imagine if someone can become a doctor or lawyer from going to a local community college for a large fraction of the cost compared to a state university and we had a larger pool of doctors and lawyers to choose from. It sure would bring health care costs and legal fees down, and maybe it would eventually become cheaper to see a doctor or dentist in American compared to driving over the border for these services. And we all know legal fees can become excessive, Abe Lincoln never went to law school and became a lawyer because back in the day it was not a requirement. If you want to become an attorney in today’s day, you need an undergraduate degree which does not necessarily need to be legal related and a juris doctor degree from an ABA approved law school. And don’t forget that these schools are very picky on who they select. No wonder legal fees are so expensive. As for Doctors and Dentists they need an undergraduate degree that does not necessarily need to be medical related then an extra four years of medical school or dental school and there are very few schools approved to grant these kinds of degrees. These schools are also very picky on who they select which decreases the supply of doctors in our country even though most Americans can’t afford healthcare and doctors offices are packed and overwhelmed with patients and legal issues. Back in the day someone could go to the doctor for a sprained ankle and a doctor can take a quick look at it and notice what is going on, now they need to do a bunch of x-rays to cover their buts from getting in a medical malpractice lawsuit. And with all this information I just listed, No wonder health care is so bad in America. The solution to fixing all of these problems is getting the government out of the way and letting the free market run its course.
