Old Wild West Fashion Style

Do you have an interest in both history and in fashion? Have you noticed a fashion trend in American small towns where people enjoy dressing like they are still living in the old wild west days of the 1800’s. Do you also enjoy watching old wild west movies? Then this article is for you because today we are going to take about being fashionable with an old wild west theme to it.

First and most importantly you are going to need a cowboy hat because you can’t have a real wild west outfit without one. This one is obvious, When you think of a cowboy or cowgirl you almost always picture someone wearing a cowboy hat. Also it is not uncommon to visit a small town in America and not see at least one person wearing a cowboy hat there. So maybe you should consider getting one yourself so you too can fit in with the small town wild west scene.

Next you are going to want to buy a button down flannel shirt because you will look like a real cowboy or cowgirl wearing one. I mention this one because this is what I usually see people wearing when I travel to small towns in America. I also think button down and flannel shirts look very nice and I have a few of these myself in my wardrobe. They even make these shirts have short sleeves in the summer and long sleeves in the winter so these flannel shirts can be worn all year round.

Next you are going to want to wear some jeans and some cowboy boots because you know you got to wear what looks cool when riding on your horse into town. You also want to be wearing an old pair of jeans if you plan to ride horses because you don’t want to mess up a good pair of jeans while sitting on the back of an unbroken Mustang.))


And finally, You are going to want to buy an acoustic guitar and strap it on your back and learn some old country songs because even cowboys need some form of entertainment. I say this because I love to listen to country music and hear songs that old country stars sing about the wild west cowboy days. So if you are going to try and pull off the old wild west cowboy look don’t forget to get yourself an acoustic guitar and learn some basic cowboy chords.
