It Is Time To Forgive Bill Cosby, And He Was Also Wrongfully Convicted Anyways…

Hello every and today’s article I am going to write about actor and comedian Bill Cosby. As most people know by now Bill Cosby was recently convicted for multiple sexual assaults in 2018 and was sentenced to serve 3 years in prison. On June 30, 2021 Bill Cosby’s conviction was overturned and he was released from prison and I personally feel that the judge made the right decision on overturning his conviction. The problem with this situation was that his crimes were all committed during the 1960’s long before most of us, and most of our parents were even born. One thing I would like to say is that I condemn the act of the things that Bill Cosby did but I don’t condemn him as a person. I also believe that we need to have statutes of limitations in this country. Even in the The KJV Bible we are commanded to forgive peoples debts after 7 years, and I posted some scriptures below. I also strongly believe that this cancel culture idea is wrong because we as a society should not be judging people or holding their past mistakes against them. I believe it is time we put an end to this corrupt idea called cancel culture.

In America the justice system has become so criminalized for the prison industrial complex and people can potentially be convicted and sent to prison for petty things such as possession of marijuana. Even though I don’t support marijuana and voted against legalizing it when The State of Arizona put it on the ballot; I don’t think someone should be going to prison over it either but pay a small fine over it instead. Now, Back to the situation with Bill Cosby; I personally think he is a great actor and a very funny comedian and I am NOT going to let all this cancel culture nonsense and The Me Too victim culture fraud’s change my perception on Bill Cosby as a person. If it were the 1960’s and Bill Cosby was convicted right after he committed the crime; I would have supported the idea of sending him to prison for his crime, but because his conviction happened many years after he committed the crimes, I support the idea of having statutes of limitations and I personally feel that Bill Cosby was wrongfully convicted. Also in my opinion the 1960’s was a very long time ago and my parents were not even born yet and my grandparents were in grade school during this time so if someone is trying to come out now as a victim for something that happened in the 1960’s or even over 10 years ago they are either using some dirty tactics to try to get ahead in life, are just trying to put someone down, or they are just feeling sorry for themselves and want people to feel bad for them for attention. This idea of cancel culture and victim culture needs to stop and I would strongly encourage people to watch some Bill Cosby content and enjoy it because he really is a great comedian and we need to all realize that one he has served his time even though he was wrongfully convicted due to the situation that it took so long to convict him and the fact that they had a 2nd trial after a mistrial is considered double jeopardy and is another reason to look at this as a wrongful conviction.

Here is what the 5th Amendment of The U.S. Constitution says about double jeopardy.
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Here is the scripture quote below about forgiving debts after 7 years and I personally feel that all felony crimes except for murder should have a 7 year statute of limitation and I support the death penalty for murder because The Bible supports the death penalty for murder and I have also quoted a scripture below for supporting capital punishment. I would like to thank you for reading this article and God Bless…

Deuteronomy 15:1-2 King James Version

15 At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release.

And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the Lord’s release.

Genesis 9:6 King James Version

Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
