Why Michael Vick Deserves To Be Inducted In The Pro Football Hall of Fame…
Hello everyone and today’s article is on why Michael Vick deserves to be inducted into The Pro Football Hall of Fame. One of the main reasons why I am writing this articles is because I am so sick and tired of this cancel culture thing going on in our society and I feel that it is wrong for people to judge or shun one another for their past mistakes especially after they have served their time. As most of you all know is that Michael Vick was previously convicted of a dog fighting ring and was sentenced to serve some time in prison for his crimes. But what we all need to realize is that Michael Vick completed his sentence and was eventually released from prison for the crimes he has committed and after his release he became very outspoken about what he did was wrong.
During Michael Vick’s career in The NFL he has accomplished a lot of unique things that no NFL quarterback has ever done before. In 2009 Michael Vick was signed by The Philadelphia Eagles after he completed his sentence and he remained with The Eagles until 2013. One thing I won’t ever forget about seeing Micheal Vick play is that he was a scrambling quarterback and when he was unable to find an open receiver he would take off running. As a quarterback Michael Vick had 6,109 career rushing yards and averaged 7.0 yards a carry. He also has 36 rushing touchdowns as a quarterback. Those stats alone should really make people think about why Michael Vick belongs in The Hall of Fame. He also had 22,464 career passing yards and 133 touchdown passes which is about average for a quarterback but don’t forget about the fact that Michael Vick was a 4 time pro bowler and received The NFL Comeback Player of The Year Award in 2010. In 1999 He was a Heisman Trophy winner and was selected as the 1st overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft. I personally feel that Michael Vick was a really great quarterback and he used to put up great numbers on the scoreboard when he played.
Also don’t forget the fact that Michael Vick has also contributed a lot to his community even though he did make a big mistake with the dog fighting incident. I would strongly encourage people to look past the mistakes of Michael Vick’s past and consider him for The Pro Football Hall of Fame, and doing so will help move all of us one step forward to putting an end this this cancel culture nonsense where society judges and shuns people for their past mistakes. And in my opinion Michael Vick has done his time and completed his sentence so I feel that we need to look past his mistakes and focus more on his accomplishments. Thank You for reading and God Bless…
